Removing leads from a campaign
The Leads tab isn't just for adding contacts — a Manage leads toggle reveals a hidden-by-default search and multi-select for removing specific leads from a campaign. Removing a lead cancels only its still-pending sends in this campaign; the contact itself and any list it belongs to are never touched.
Manage leads
On the Leads tab, next to Add leads from list and Review leads, a third button reads Manage leads. Nothing new is visible until you click it — the search box and selection controls stay out of the way for anyone who's just here to add leads.
Clicking it turns the button into Done and reveals a search box plus a selection status line directly below, separated by a divider from the add-leads row above.
Select leads to remove them from this campaign
Search filters the campaign's own lead list — by name, email, or company — client-side, as you type. Reopening Manage leads later always starts fresh: the search box and any previous selection are cleared every time you toggle it, in either direction.
Removing a selection
With Manage leads open, checkboxes appear on every lead row. Selecting any of them replaces the idle helper text with a live count and a Remove from campaign button.
The header checkbox selects everything currently matching your search, not the campaign's full lead list — so a filtered search plus "select all" only ever acts on what's visible. Clicking Remove from campaign opens a confirmation before anything happens.
Remove 2 leads from this campaign?
This removes these leads from Q3 enterprise rollout and cancels any pending sends still scheduled for them here. Their contact record and any list they belong to stay exactly as they are, and they can still be added to other campaigns at any time.
Confirming shows a toast — "Removed 2 leads from this campaign." — clears the selection, and closes the dialog.
What removal does and doesn't do
Removal only ever touches two things: this campaign's enrollment record for that lead, and any of its send jobs still sitting as PENDING or HELD in Jobs — those get skipped rather than deleted, so the campaign's job history for that lead stays intact. Anything already SENT, FAILED, or previously SKIPPED is final and untouched, preserving the real send history for the lead you removed.
Removing a lead is scoped entirely to this one campaign. The underlying contact record, its tags, and its membership in any list are unaffected — and because removal frees up the campaign's enrollment slot for that contact, they can be added right back to the same campaign later, or enrolled in a different one, at any time. This is different from the contact being deleted into the trash, which is a workspace-wide action, not a per-campaign one.
