Lead Finder

Lead Finder searches ForgeSend's own enrichment engine — a broad, multi-source professional data network — for contacts matching your ideal customer profile, and imports them straight into a list. Unlike a contact you upload yourself, a lead you import from here arrives already verified: its email was checked for deliverability as an inherent part of finding it, before it ever reaches your workspace.

Getting to Find Leads

Find Leads is its own item in the sidebar, under Infrastructure — it isn't a tab on the Lists page. Closing the panel takes you back to Lists, which is where any list you import into actually lives.

If you've used an earlier version of ForgeSend or seen it described as a "Find Leads tab" on the Lists page, that's out of date — the two are separate routes today.

Define your ICP first

Before you can search anything, Find Leads asks you to define an ICP (Ideal Customer Profile). The filter form and the Search button are disabled until you do.

Define your ICP

ForgeSend scans the page and proposes filters — you review and adjust before searching.

Scan and continue

Three ways to define it: paste a URL to scan (typically your own site or a customer's), describe your ideal customer in plain text, or build manually by going straight to the filter form. All three land you in the same place — a filter panel you can still edit before running a search.

The three-pane layout

Once an ICP is defined, Find Leads is a three-pane workspace: filters on the left, results in the middle, and an Import Queue on the right that tracks your selection and its running cost live.

Search results show full profile detail — name, title, company, and enrichment context — immediately; the email address itself stays blurred behind a Reveal · 1cr marker until you actually import that contact. Checking a result adds it to the Import Queue on the right, whose totals update with every click — see Credits and costs for exactly what a search and an import each charge.

Leads arrive verified

A contact you bring in through Find Leads doesn't need a separate verification pass. Checking that the email is real and deliverable is baked into how ForgeSend's enrichment engine finds it in the first place — by the time it lands in your list, it already carries a verification status (Verified, High probability, or Catch-all, in descending order of confidence).

Unverified

Needs a Verify List pass before it's trusted.

This is a genuinely different starting point from a contact you upload in a CSV. Your own uploaded lists carry no verification status until you run ForgeSend's free 3-tier check — Lead Finder contacts already have one on arrival. You can still run that same check again on a Lead Finder contact later; it will simply overwrite the enrichment-sourced status with ForgeSend's own valid/risky/invalid verdict.
