Estimated value & currency
Every pipeline record has an Estimated Value field — a plain dollar-and-cents number representing the deal's worth. It's manual-only: nothing in ForgeSend writes to it automatically, in any stage, from any signal. If it's set, it's because someone typed it in.
Setting a value
Set from the record detail modal: a number field (zero or higher, to the cent) plus Save. Once a value exists, a Clear button also appears next to Save, wiping the field back to unset.
Estimated value (USD)
Currently: $28,500
Typing a negative number or something that isn't numeric is rejected before any request is sent, with "Estimated value must be a positive number." Leaving the field blank and clicking Save is equivalent to clicking Clear — either one sets the value back to unset.
Display currency
Estimated Value is shown in your workspace's own configured display currency — set once per workspace in Settings → Workspace & billing, not per record. Whatever currency is configured there is what every Estimated Value figure across Pipeline is labeled with.
The workspace currency setting is display-only. Changing it changes how existing Estimated Value numbers are labeled — it never converts the underlying number. A record showing "$28,500" that gets relabeled to EUR after a currency change will show "€28,500," the same raw number, not a converted one.
Regardless of the currency, amounts are always shown with no decimal places — a value saved as 28500.50 is still shown rounded to the nearest whole unit, even though the input field itself accepts cents.
Where a value appears
Estimated Value shows up in three places within Pipeline, only when a value is actually set (never a "$0" placeholder for an unset one):
- The record card on the board
- The record detail modal, alongside the input itself
- Each entry in a contact's Pipeline rollup modal
