Bulk actions

All Contacts is a single, workspace-wide table of every contact you have — across every list, not scoped to one — reachable from its own sidebar item, separate from Lists. Selecting rows here reveals a selection bar with three bulk actions: Add to list, Add to campaign, and Delete. This page covers that selection bar, with a focus on Add to campaign.

The selection bar

Every row on All Contacts has a checkbox, plus a header checkbox that selects everything currently visible. The moment anything's selected, a bar appears above the table with the three action buttons.

214 contacts across every list — rows render below.

With nothing selected, the bar collapses to a single line: "Select contacts to add them to a list". All three buttons share the same styling — there's no destructive-red treatment on Delete at this level; the warning happens in its confirmation dialog, covered in Trash and recovery. Selecting every row on the current page also reveals a "Select all {N} contacts matching these filters" link, so a bulk action can cover more than one page's worth of results without paging through them by hand.

Add to campaign

Add to campaign opens a picker: choose a campaign, then confirm. Unlike adding leads from inside a list (covered in Your first campaign), there's no pre-commit review screen here — you pick a campaign, click through, and ForgeSend shows you the results after the fact.

Add 6 contacts to a campaign

Contacts without an email, already suppressed, or marked invalid are never enrolled — the same rule that applies everywhere else leads are added to a campaign.

Confirming enrolls immediately, then swaps the same dialog to a results breakdown — nothing here is a dry run.

If nothing new was eligible, the summary line reads "No new contacts were added — all eligible contacts were already in this campaign." instead of a count. Risky and unverified contacts still show up in the breakdown, but — same as everywhere else in ForgeSend — they aren't blocked from enrollment; whether they actually get sent to comes down to the campaign's own skip policy on its Schedule tab and the pre-send preflight at launch.

Same eligibility, different flow

Add to campaign here and adding leads from a list inside Campaign Builder run through the exact same eligibility pipeline on the backend — a contact skipped one way is skipped for the identical reason via the other. No email, suppressed, invalid, and the campaign's own risky/unverified skip policy are checked in the same order, producing the same counts either way.

What differs is the interaction model, not the rule set. Adding leads from a list shows a review screen first — you see the full eligibility breakdown, including two checks this bulk action doesn't surface (duplicate emails in the batch, and contacts already active in another campaign), and nothing is enrolled until you confirm. Add to campaign on All Contacts skips that preview: it enrolls right away and only then shows you what happened. If you want to see the numbers before committing, build a list first and use the list-based flow in Your first campaign instead.

Contacts sitting in the trash can never be enrolled through either path — a deleted contact is excluded from selection entirely, not just skipped in the results.
