Workspaces

A workspace is ForgeSend's unit of isolation. Inboxes, lists and contacts, campaigns and their send jobs, credits, suppressions, tags, and the audit log all belong to exactly one workspace. Most operators use one workspace per client or per brand.

Every user account can belong to more than one workspace, but only one workspace is active at a time. Everything you see elsewhere in the app — Campaigns, Inboxes, Lists, Analytics, Deliverability — is scoped to whichever workspace is currently active.

What a workspace owns

Each workspace has its own:

  • Inboxes — connected sending accounts (Google, Microsoft 365, SMTP)
  • Lists and contacts
  • Campaigns and their send jobs
  • Credit balance — a single shared balance, spent by enrichment actions and by the Control Centre's AI Summary feature (see below)
  • Suppression list
  • Tags and audit log
  • Email tracking and unsubscribe footer settings

Nothing here is shared across workspaces. A suppressed contact in one workspace is not suppressed in another; credits in one workspace cannot be spent from another.

The shared credit balance covers enrichment and the Control Centre's Generate summary button — but not every AI feature. Sequence Copilot (AI-drafted campaign steps) draws from a separate monthly generation quota tied to your plan, not from this credit balance.

Roles

Every workspace member has exactly one role, set on the WorkspaceMember record:

Role badges — read only
OWNERADMINMEMBER
  • OWNER — assigned automatically to whoever creates the workspace
  • ADMIN and MEMBER — the other two membership levels

Role badge colors aren't fully consistent across the app today: the Workspaces grid colors ADMIN grey (shown above, matching this page), while the Settings → Workspace tab colors ADMIN amber. Same role, two different badge colors depending which screen you're on.

Workspace deletion is not currently available from the UI — see Settings for what the Danger Zone tab actually does today.

The sidebar switcher

The dashboard sidebar has a workspace dropdown above the main navigation. It shows the active workspace name and, when opened, lists every workspace you belong to with a dot marking the active one, plus a New workspace row at the bottom.

The Workspaces grid

Navigating to Workspaces shows every workspace you belong to as a card, plus your combined credit balance across all of them at the top.

+New workspace

Each card shows the role badge, an Active indicator when it's the current workspace, and six live stats: connected inbox count with a health dot, active campaign count, sends today, whether anything sent "Today" or not (), unread reply count (highlighted green when non-zero), and credits used — shown as a dollar amount, not a raw credit count. A card can also show up to two workspace-level alerts (inbox auth errors, exhausted daily limits) with a "+N more" line if there are more.

Clicking a card navigates to that workspace's dedicated Control Centre page — see the next page for what's there. New workspace opens a small modal — see Creating and switching workspaces for the exact fields and validation.
